Ever since I was a little boy, I have loved working with computers. I learned about electricity and basic logic circuits on a Radio Shack 150 in 1 project kit. When I was 12, someone gave me a Motorola MC6800 computer. I began programming on it in assembly. I didn’t set out to learn assembly. I had no choice. It was the only language available on that computer at the time. I don’t know who gave it to me, but I am forever grateful. That gift started an obsession with computers, hardware, and software that continues today.
This obsession led to my current job as an Enterprise Architect. I enjoy thinking big picture and using technology to solving problems. I read technical articles every day to expand my knowledge on relevant topics. The Automated Engineer is a blog site to share some of the things I have created. I will also share articles and other blog posts I have found helpful.
